Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You need food to fuel your daily activities and that start in the morning. Based from some studies, people who eat breakfast are healthier and those who skip breakfast are most likely to gain weight and get sick later on.
However, in as much as people want to eat their breakfast, people have problems on preparing their meal especially because they are busy, tired and always in a hurry to work because they are already late. Chicken Fried Rice Ingredients
Here are the ingredients you will need to make chicken fried rice:
- 500 grams of boneless chicken chunk, (breast part)
- 3 cups of cooked rice
- 1 medium sized carrot, diced
- ½ cup of broccoli, removed from the stem
- 2 scallions, chopped or sliced
- 1 egg
- 1 bulb of garlic, minced
- 1 medium sized ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 5 tablespoons of lemon or calamansi juice
- Vegetable oil
- Soy sauce
- Salt
- Pepper
Cooking Procedure in Order to Make Chicken Fried Rice
- First, marinate the chicken chunks in a bowl with soy sauce, pepper, lemon juice, half of garlic, ginger and brown sugar. Cover the bowl and let it stay for an hour or over night inside the refrigerator. Remove from the marinade. Set aside.
- Then, heat a pan and put little amount of oil. Sauté garlic until soft. Stir the marinated chicken chunks into it. Add carrots, broccoli and stir fry. Put about 1/8 cup of the marinade into the pan and cook for few minutes.
- Next, put the cooked rice into the pan and crag egg directly into it. Add the scallions and stir fry until all the juices are absorbed by the rice. Sprinkle salt to taste.
- Finally, turn the heat off. Remove the chicken fried rice from the pan and transfer it into the serving plate. Serve and Enjoy!
The ingredients can be prepared before going to bed and stored in the refrigerator over night to avoid the hassle in the morning. This food or recipe is not only good for breakfast; you can pack it for lunch or dinner at work.
