How to Close your Pores on your Face Naturally
posted by: Gretchen
Pores are tiny openings in the skin and the points of entry of hair follicles, oil glands, and sweat glands, from which oil flows to the surface of your skin. Pores are actually vital to your skin’s health. The oil they provide keeps skin soft and hydrated. However, these can be annoying and frustrating when they appear larger than they really are. They become larger when they are infected, dilated, or clogged with oil. Excessive production of oil leads to acne, whiteheads, or blackheads. Is there any way that you could close your open pores? You could try the following:
- Observe a good cleansing routine. It is important that you wash your face regularly like twice a day to remove dirt and oil from your face. If you put on makeup, wash it off immediately once you get home.
- Another natural way to close your pores is to rinse your face with cold water and massage some honey into your face. Rinse in circular motion and put some pressure on your forehead and chin. Rinse with cold water.
- Try soaking a washcloth in cold water and let the cloth rest on your face for about ten minutes. You can also use ice cubes and rub them directly on your skin but not too much as ice can burn your skin.
- Apply cucumber juice with a few drops of lemon juice. Apply this using a cotton swab. Rinse off with water after ten minutes.
- You can also mix lemon juice, plain yogurt, tomato juice, and rose water to make a face paste. Then apply the paste on your face for 20 minutes. This will also help you make your pores smaller, especially those on your nose.
If these natural remedies don’t work for you, you can try using a facial toner after cleaning your face. Toner is good at tightening your face up. You can also consult a dermatologist for you to get a good treatment or recommendation of pore minimizer to remove or get rid of your large pores.
