Moreover, parents must turn to soaps that are mild and with the absence of perfumes such as Dove, Cetaphil, Lactacid, and Aveeno while bathing them in warm water. Lotions with moisturizing creams should also be applied onto your baby’s skin.
  • Your baby should be well hydrated. Therefore, ensure that he drinks plenty of fluids or breast milk to keep him moisturized.
  • Give your baby clothing that is made with cotton. Synthetic fiber made clothing may trigger the occurrence of eczema more.
  • Topical creams such as steroid creams should be applied on the skin during breakouts.
  • Rule out what causes your child’s eczema. If it’s because of milk formula, then switch to a new one. You may ask your pediatrician about it. Food allergies especially dairy products are also among the reasons why flare ups with atopic dermatitis happen.
  • Keep away triggers that can aggravate the condition more. Avoid using strong detergents, keep pets and dander away, and minimize dust and mites.
  • Keep your child’s nails short as possible or put on mittens on your baby to minimize scratching of the affected area.

Although some cases of eczema are chronic, other babies outgrow the condition in years. Typically, how to cure eczema in babies are all focused in home remedy and self-help tips, but in the instance that you notice signs of infection, you must seek medical attention to prevent it form getting worse.
