What Does it Mean to Poke Someone on Facebook

Are you a fan of the popular social networking site Facebook? Have you tried poking someone ?
What does it mean to poke someone on Facebook ? How do you poke someone on this popular social networking site. You can see this application on the profile of each user. I haven’t tried this application myself though.
Pokes can be confusing. You don’t really get an explanation from the site itself. The pokes are just small images of a hand with a finger pointing, and the user’s name who sent it to you. A poke icon will appear on his/her homepage. Pokes are just little manners to say hello to your friends on Facebook. MSN has the nudge, YM has the buzz, and Facebook has the poke. So what happens when you poke someone? Nothing! You just catch the attention of someone. Really a poke does not mean anything else. You can send pokes to anyone and anyone can do it to you. It’s a way of getting in touch with someone. If you want to know if you can poke yourself, I don’t think you can do it.
What’s the point of poking people? When someone pokes you that means he/she wants to chat with you or he/she simply misses you. That’s it! What about if a guy pokes you? Does that mean he likes you? Well, it’s a good sign. Just be careful in doing this. Maybe you have heard of the woman who was jailed for Facebook poke. Her name’s Shannon D. Jackson of Tennessee. She was arrested for violating an order of protection by sending a poke to another woman on this popular social networking site.

oh, so there’s nothing wrong in poking someone on facebook……… i’ll poke them all, and i’ll know who ignores me and gives attention to me….. hahahaha
